While most people look at cosmetics changes when they consider renovations, wouldn't upgrading energy efficiency yield more value in the long run?
   
Wouldn't photovoltaic panels and a tankless water heater yield more value than new carpet?

Sadly no. People like eye candy and that sells a property to the common people. Now for someone like me, I'd be all over it.

But in most cases they are not added as a property values.I really want this trend to be changed in the long run.
